- National Nurses United will make the formal announcement on November 15.
- The event will be live streamed
- The union had also endorsed Sanders in 2016
National Nurses United (NNU) announced today that they will be endorsing Sen. Bernie Sanders for President. NNU is the largest organization of registered nurses in the United States, representing over 150,000 members.
The union announced it will be endorsing Sen. Sanders because of his long track record of support for organized labor. They cited his platform of racial and gender justice, college for all, immigration reform, and support of a Green New Deal as key factors in their decision. NNU also endorsed Sen. Sanders in the 2016 presidential primary.
This is the latest in a string of high profile endorsements from organized labor groups for the Sanders campaign.
