Biden Republicans? Not so much. Trump won higher percentage of Republicans than 2016

  • According to the New York Times, 93% of Republicans voted for Trump in 2020 according to exit polls. That is up from 90% in 2016.
  • The DNC and Biden campaign both spent immense amounts of time and money courting the moderate Republican vote. That appears to have been in vain.
  • This trend calls into question the strategy of pursuing the marginal edge of Republican voters at the expense of the left.

Compare exit polling from 2020 and 2016.
