- “For a decade proposals have sought to create IRS tax software or a ReturnFree Tax System; All were stopped,” reads a confidential 2007 PowerPoint presentation. Intuit knows it’s deceiving its customers, internal company documents show. “The website lists Free, Free, Free and the customers are assuming their return will be free…Customers are getting upset.”
