Cop Arrested After Stepson’s Dead Body Is Found Hidden Inside His Bedroom Wall

  • A Baltimore City police officer arrested after officers found his stepson dead inside a wall, according to charging documents.
  • The documents reveal that Banks’ 15-year-old stepson Dasan Jones was found dead inside a hole in a bedroom wall that also contained a gun safe.
  • Court documents also revealed that Banks tried to grab the gun of the officer trying to put him in a police cruiser.

“ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY (WBFF) — A Baltimore City police officer arrested in the Curtis Bay neighborhood of Baltimore tried to grab the gun of an Anne Arundel County police officer trying to arrest him after officers found his stepson dead inside a bedroom wall, according to charging documents.

Anne Arundel County police arrested Baltimore City Police Officer Eric Banks on July 6, 2021.

According to the Anne Arundel County Police Department, the mother of the teen contacted police the previous afternoon.

The charging documents reveal that Banks’ 15-year-old stepson Dasan Jones was found dead inside a hole in a bedroom wall that also contained a gun safe.

As the officers approached the gun safe, Banks said, “let me help you.” Officers told Banks to back up. Inside, they saw the body of Jones.

Court documents also revealed that Banks apparently tried to grab the gun of the officer trying to put him in a police cruiser.

As he was being put in the vehicle, Banks told the officer that his handcuffs were not double-locked, according to charging documents.

As the officer attempted to double lock one of his arms, Banks tried to run from the cruiser. He was saying that he wanted to kiss his kids. While the officer was trying to push Banks back into the cruiser, Banks grabbed the officer’s service weapon…”
